Minquansis Sapiel
Wabanaki Storyteller & Cultural EducatorMinquansis Sapiel pronounced (Min-Gwon-sis) is an enrolled member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe from Sipayik, one of the two Passamaquoddy reservations in Maine, a tribe that is a part of the Wabanaki Confederacy. She grew up in Sipayik overlooking the Passamaquoddy Bay. She is a published Author of a Children’s Book called “Little People of the Dawn’ She also received her Masters degree in Social Work and has earned her Captains license. She is self employed as a Storyteller, truthteller and Speaker, provides guided tours. The Hope is to educate people about the and waters they are on and provide people with a better understanding of Wabanaki History and Culture. She mother of three daughters and loves photography and nature.
Rachel Fecteau
Waterfront & Maritime History ExpertRachel has spent much of her career on Portland’s waterfront, working in roles ranging from lobster tour guide to seafood logistics and retail. She is currently a manager at Harbor Fish Market and brings extensive knowledge of Maine’s fisheries and aquaculture practices. With deep ancestral roots in Portland and a strong interest in maritime history, Rachel enjoys sharing her perspective on the region’s working waterfront and coastal heritage.
