Bottomless Mimosas & Croissant Brunch

What’s not to like about a leisurely morning where you don’t have to get up too early and then hop aboard a private boat and let our crew pamper you a little bit? This 2-hour cruise is the perfect way to combine a sightseeing tour with a tasty brunch of fresh-baked croissants, local cheese, fresh fruit, and unlimited access to our mimosas, local beers, seltzers, and a variety of non-alcoholic selections. Add some quiche, smoked salmon, or hickory ham to really live it up!

With options to depart from our private dock in South Portland or from Custom House Wharf in Portland’s Old Port, you can have a relaxing morning even before you hop aboard. We offer free parking at our South Portland location, and for those who arrive by cruise ship or stay in one of the Old Port hotels, our Custom House Wharf dock is an easy walk.

Once aboard, relax in MARIE L’s cushioned benches and get acquainted with your captain and deckhand, who will start serving up drinks and brunch as soon as you are underway. Your deckhand also serves as your private tour guide, pointing out our local sights and telling stories about the history and lore of the bay. Weather permitting, MARIE L will cruise past four lighthouses, including Portland Head Light, which is arguably the most photographed lighthouse in Maine.

Commissioned by George Washington and built starting in 1791, the “Headlight” is also the oldest lighthouse in Maine, and it serves as a landmark not only to ships entering Portland Harbor but to millions of visitors each year. Because it’s still an active navigational beacon, the lighthouse itself is closed to the public, so getting a “sailor’s” view of the lighthouse perched upon the rocky shoreline as you pass by in a boat is really the best way to experience Portland Head Light.

In addition to cruising past our local lighthouses, your captain will guide MARIE L along some of Casco Bay’s rugged and rocky island coastline and past Fort Gorges and Fort Scammel, two granite block fortresses built to protect Portland Harbor at a time when Portland rivaled Boston and even New York in its strategic importance for shipping and commerce.

This is an all-inclusive private charter, meaning brunch and drinks are included for no additional charge. Each brunch features freshly baked croissants made by our friends at Pepperell Provisions, and these are accompanied by a selection of fruit and locally sourced cheese. Optional additions of smoked salmon, hickory ham, or four-cheese quiche are available at the time of booking.

We are pleased to offer a nicely curated selection of drinks to all guests on this charter as well. We will have the boat well stocked with orange juice and bubbly for anyone wishing to enjoy mimosas. In addition, MARIE L is stocked with a nice selection of locally brewed beers, spiked seltzers, and canned cocktails, along with imported red, white, and rose wines. Water and other non-alcoholic beverages are also on board.

Our Bottomless Mimosa and Croissant Brunch charters are great for groups gathering for a weekend in Portland-whether celebrating a bachelor party or Bachelorette party, a family reunion, or just a quick getaway with friends.
