Each dinner features seasonally fresh, locally sourced seafood, meats, and produce prepared skillfully in MONHEGAN’s small galley and served by the Chef and your deckhand. A sample menu is outlined below, but each dinner is unique based on what’s in season and our guests’ dietary preferences. We accomplish this by personally reaching out to our guests days prior to their dinner to discuss the menu.
MONHEGAN’s aft deck boasts a varnished dining table and cushioned benches. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a sunset dinner cruise in Maine. With easy views to port, starboard, and aft, our four local lighthouses, historic stone forts, wildlife, and rugged coastline are clearly in sight as MONHEGAN glides through the bay while dinner is served. If conditions permit, your captain may secure MONHEGAN to a secluded mooring buoy beside one of the islands in the bay and shut off the engine to allow everyone to enjoy the sounds of water lapping the hull, a distant bell, or maybe even the giant fog whistle at Portland Head Light.
No dinner is complete without good drinks, and our Private Sunset Dinner Cruise includes unlimited access to our onboard selection of fine imported wines, locally brewed beers, seltzers, and canned cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. The Chef and deckhand will make recommendations for specific pairings throughout dinner, but you are welcome to try a little bit of everything!
